VINTAGE GENUINE 1988 U. NATIONALS FIRST PLACE PASO FINO BREED CHAMPION’S TROPHY BELT BUCKLE–This champion trophy buckle from the late 1980’s looks like it might have been displayed, but never worn. It is in excellent, almost like new condition. The first place award was presented at the 1988 Paso Fino U. National Championship, and as is etched onto the back of the buckle, it was awarded to the winning stallion, 4 years and over, for bit showmanship & performance. It features a wonderful, colorful design and image of a Paso Fino & rider. We have been told that the buckle might have some significance or relation to Peruvian PASO FINO horses, but we are not certain about this. Unmarked as to maker or material, but it is a very well-made buckle and the metal appears to be nickel silver or similar. Measures 3 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ and accepts belts up to 1 3/4 wide.
